Finding a speakeasy Fort Lauderdale locals rate means looking behind taco shops, inside a pizza kitchen, up a hotel elevator and through an escape room door. We verified seven hidden bars in Fort Lauderdale itself, so we added two more up the coast in Palm Beach County, in Delray Beach and Jupiter, to round out the list. Hours and entry details come from each venue’s own website, and we only share the way in that the bar publishes.

Stache Drinking Den
Stache at 109 SW 2nd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 bills itself as one of the coolest speakeasies in America, and it is the most music focused room on this list: a cocktail lounge and nightclub with burlesque and cabaret shows, bands and DJs. Its calendar mixes whiskey tastings with nights like Old School Vinyl and house music sessions. Sign up for its VIP list for bottle service and event notice. Best for a big night out downtown (get directions).
Bodega Taqueria y Tequila
Bodega’s Fort Lauderdale outpost sits at 21 W Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 on Las Olas Riverfront, and like the Miami Beach original you reach the bar, by Bodega’s own description, through the porta potty. The lounge opens Sunday to Wednesday 5pm to 1am, Thursday 5pm to 2am, and Friday and Saturday 5pm to 4am, with weekend rotating DJ sets, Taco and Tunes Tuesday and happy hour daily from 5pm to 9pm.
After 9pm guests must be 21 or older, and a dress code applies on Friday and Saturday. Our Las Olas bar guide covers the rest of the street (get directions).
Rm. 901
Rm. 901 is a reservation only 1920s speakeasy inside the Hyatt Centric Las Olas at 100 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, set up like a hotel room with antique carpets, plush furniture and vintage art. There are three two hour seatings Tuesday to Sunday at 5pm, 7:15pm and 9:30pm, with a $60 per person food and drink minimum and a 72 hour cancellation policy. Valet is $10. Best for anniversaries and small groups who want a cocktail and small plates experience rather than a bar crawl (get directions).
Hidden Speakeasy
Hidden is the cocktail bar tucked inside Eatapas, a tapas restaurant at 4140 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308, about 15 minutes north of Las Olas. The restaurant’s own site simply asks, “Can you keep a secret?” and points to the bar’s Instagram. Expect a dark lounge with leather couches and classic cocktails. Book a table at Eatapas first; the restaurant opens from late morning until 10pm on weeknights and 11pm on Friday and Saturday (get directions).
The Apothecary 330
Behind a pair of doors inside Pizza Craft at 330 Himmarshee St, Fort Lauderdale, The Apothecary 330 is a hidden cocktail bar steps from the Himmarshee bar strip. Pizza Craft is closed Monday and open Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday noon to 10pm, Friday and Saturday noon to 11pm. It suits an early evening drink before heading out downtown, and the room can be booked for private events (get directions).
The Green Hat Bar
The Green Hat is a bootlegger themed speakeasy inside Evolution Escape Rooms at Xtreme Action Park, 5300 Powerline Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. The door code changes every week, and the bar posts it on its own website, so check before you go. Hours are Monday to Thursday 4pm to 11pm, Friday 5pm to 1am, Saturday 2pm to 1am and Sunday 2pm to 11pm. Good for groups pairing an escape room with a round (get directions).
Bar Betty
Bar Betty opened in early 2026 on the second floor of Sunness Supper Club at 2465 E Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304, reached through the restaurant by a hidden staircase or elevator and a red door. Inside it has a Gatsby era look with tin ceilings and Art Deco wallpaper. Sunness’s own event calendar lists live music most nights, including a jazz jam, so dinner plus a nightcap upstairs is the move (get directions).
Radcliffe’s Speakeasy, Delray Beach
About 30 minutes north, Radcliffe’s Speakeasy hides behind a cellar door inside The Wine Room at 411 E Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483. The Wine Room’s advice is to reserve your table and ask your server to show you the way, and Radcliffe’s stays open late on Friday and Saturday. Book through its OpenTable experience page. See our Delray Beach bar guide for the rest of Atlantic Avenue (get directions).
Heaven’s Door at Double Roads Tavern, Jupiter
Inside Double Roads Tavern at 103 US 1, Suite A1, Jupiter, FL 33477, Heaven’s Door is a members only speakeasy with its own bar, dining and live music, open Tuesday to Saturday. Its calendar books solo and duo acts most nights from about 7pm or 8pm, and members can also watch the main room’s bands, which play seven days a week. Membership inquiries go through the tavern’s website. It is a drive, but it is the best bet in the region for a hidden room with a regular live music calendar (get directions).
Planning a Fort Lauderdale Speakeasy Night
Downtown is the easy cluster: Stache, The Apothecary 330 and Bodega are all within a short walk of each other around Himmarshee Street and Las Olas Riverfront, and Rm. 901 is a few blocks east. Rideshare is simplest on weekends, or use a downtown garage. Hidden, Bar Betty and The Green Hat are each a short drive north, so pick one and pair it with dinner. Reserve Rm. 901 well ahead; it is the only one here that runs strictly on seatings. For more live music after your drink, see our jazz and blues clubs in Fort Lauderdale.
